Some Skiing questions?

I love this question! 1.) I ski because its an amazing feeling rushing down a hill covered in beautiful snow, carving big turns. Skiing probably surrounds you with more beauty than any other sport. I love the mountains. I ski race because I like to go fast and I love learning the proper form and technique. 2.) -Whistler Blackcomb (Canada) -Vail, Breckenrige, Beaver Creek, Keystone (Colorado) -Aspen, Snowmass, Snowbird (other places) -JACKSON HOLE!!! (Wyoming) -places in Switzerland and other European Countries -North Eastern US like Vermont and Maine 3.) Some parents teach their kids but that usually ends in disaster. They teach them bad habits or old ways of skiing Some people try to teach themselves... stupid people... Then some people take lessons. It's the best way to learn and the best way to get better. You can take a lesson at any level, Beginner to Expert. (unless you're Lindsey Vonn.... (olympic and World Cup medalist)) 4.) Cross Country is also known as nordic. It's more like skating on really long, thin skis on flat land, racing to the finish. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVHcN6EbVcY Downhill is skiing at high peeds well... downhill. You weave through gates on the course. THere are 4 types of alpine (downhill) ski racing. -DH or Downhill- the fastest with the biggest turns http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VXgx5U0r-i8 -Super G- smaller -GS or Giant Slalom- smaller -Slalom- smallest turns http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8G9E7YOEcJ8 5.) Always wear a helmet when you ski Never give up on skiing after 1 or 2 lessons. always give it a 3rd try Famous ski racers are Lindsey Vonn, Ted Ligety, Julia Mancuso, Bode Miller

What are some quotes for when you and your boy friend have problems?

“We do not yet trust the unknown power of thoughts” - Ralph Waldo Emerson “Fear is the question. Love is the answer.” - Rain Bojangles “I am serious, so I laugh a lot. You need to laugh. You don't laugh enough. I don't trust anyone who doesn't laugh.” - Maya Angelou “I would be true, for there are those who trust me; I would be pure, for there are those who care; I would be strong, for there is much to suffer; I would be brave, for there is much to dare.” - Howard Arnold Walter “I can't control my destiny, I trust my soul, my only goal is just to be. There's only now, there's only here. Give in to love or live in fear. No other path, no other way. No day but today.” - Johnathan Larson “Do not put your trust in a bad companion nor even trust an ordinary friend, for if he should get angry with you, he may bring all your secrets to light.” - Chanakya “Those you trust the most can steal the most.” - Lawrence Lief “When I get logical, and I don't trust my instincts - that's when I get in trouble.” - Angelina Jolie “Trust yourself. Think for yourself. Act for yourself. Speak for yourself. Be yourself. Imitation is suicide.” - Marva Collins “Only trust thyself, and another shall not betray thee.” - William Penn “I'm still in a little bit of disbelief.” - David Sender “It's stunning, shocking — use whatever word you want. We're in disbelief. When you know somebody well, and you don't have any idea of something like that happening, it's a whole range of emotions.” - Upinder Dhillon “I was sort of in disbelief that he went off the course.” - Ted Ligety

C++ help encrypting a file?

In my previous answer to this question I questioned your use of, and need for, vector arguments to the rotateEncrypt function. If you need to use vector objects, no problem. Read each line from the input file into one vector, then have rotateEncrypt store the encrypted text in another vector. Like this: #include #include #include #include using namespace std; const int MIN_PRINTABLE_ASCII = 32; const int MAX_PRINTABLE_ASCII = 126; const int NUM_PRINTABLE = (MAX_PRINTABLE_ASCII - MIN_PRINTABLE_ASCII + 1); void encode(const vector &, vector &, int); int main(int argc, char *argv[]) {     string line;     stringstream ss;     int n;     vector plaintext;     vector ciphertext;     vector::iterator i;         if (argc == 2) ss.str(argv[1]);     if ((argc == 2) && (ss >> n)) {         n %= NUM_PRINTABLE;         do {             getline(cin,line);             if (!(cin.eof())) {                 plaintext.push_back(line);             }         } while (!cin.eof());         encode(plaintext,ciphertext,n);         for (i = ciphertext.begin(); i != ciphertext.end(); i++) {             cout << *i << endl;         }     } else {         cout << "usage: " << argv[0] << " " << endl;         return -1;     }     return 0; } void encode(const vector &in, vector &out, int x) {     vector::const_iterator i = in.begin();     string::const_iterator p;     string encoded;     int c;     while (i != in.end()) {         encoded.clear();         p = (*i).begin();         while (p != (*i).end()) {             c = static_cast(*p) + x;             if (c > MAX_PRINTABLE_ASCII) {                 c -= NUM_PRINTABLE;             } else if (c < MIN_PRINTABLE_ASCII) {                 c += NUM_PRINTABLE;             }             encoded.push_back(c);             ++p;         }         out.push_back(encoded);         ++i;     } } #if 0 Sample run: $ cat gs.txt With Miller eliminated, the United States medal hopes sit on the shoulders of Ted Ligety. In eighth place, Ligety is just 0.6 second behind leader Carlo Janka of Switzerland. He's well within striking distance, and is hoping to follow through on his position as pre-race favorite. Encode (Y!A is truncating some of these lines, you can run the code to get the real output): $ cat gs.txt | ./encode1 13 dv"u-Zvyyr -ryvzv{n"rq9-"ur-b{v"rq-`"n"r!-zrqny-u|}r!-!v"-|{ "ur-!u|#yqr !-|s-arq-Yvtr"';-V{-rvtu"u-}ynpr9-Yvtr"'-v!-w#!" =;C-!rp|{q-oruv{q-yrnqr -Pn y|-Wn{xn-|s-`%v"(r yn{q;-Ur4!-%ryy %v"uv{-!" vxv{t-qv!"n{pr9-n{q-v!-u|}v{t-"|-s|yy|%-"u |#tu-|{ uv!-}|!v"v|{-n!-} r: npr-sn$| v"r; Encode then decode, to recover original: $ cat gs.txt | ./encode1 13 | ./encode1 -13 With Miller eliminated, the United States medal hopes sit on the shoulders of Ted Ligety. In eighth place, Ligety is just 0.6 second behind leader Carlo Janka of Switzerland. He's well within striking distance, and is hoping to follow through on his position as pre-race favorite. #endif
