Can my tcf debit card be used to withdraw money in South Korea?
Check their fees though, we were charged tons for a couple of transactions (I think like 10 bucks or something per)... so I think it'd be better for you to take a lump sum than get money little by little.
Does TCF Bank charge you money if you close your account with them?
No. Go in and make sure everything has cleared your account. Get the balance in cash and tell them to close the account. Destroy your ATM card. If everything has not cleared, leave enough to cover the outstanding items PLUS a cushion (just in case). Then keep an eye on the balance and go back in when everything has cleared to close the account.
Chose a bank that is close, convenient. Has branches everywhere that you may go. Lots of ATMS. If they have branches in other states ALL THE BETTER! They should also have really good online banking and bill payment systems.
I particularly like U.S. Bank, Bank of America, and Chase.
Does TCF bank accept depositsto your account with someone elses name on it?
Direct Deposit is an electronic transacation and does not involve any checks. if your sister provides her employer with your bank account number and the ABA for your bank, they will setup the direct deposit on their end. As long as the bank account info is correct, then the process will work. They will not look to see whos name is on the account.
