How big would another Pacquiao vs. Marquez fight be?
It would be big but it wouldn't be huge- I certainly think it would outdo their second fight, which did around 400,000 buys but I don't think it would reach the 1 million buy mark, I think it would just outdo the Pacquiao-Clottey fight, which did 700,000 so I think a third Pacquiao-Marquez bout would do around 800,000 buys due to Pacquiao's huge fan base and due to the fact that Marquez is the biggest and best Mexican fighter currently out there. The reason it wouldn't be huge is because of how badly Marquez lost to Floyd Mayweather, so if Pacquiao were to fight him, many people would be saying that Manny is once again fighting someone who Mayweather already beat (such as Oscar De La Hoya and Ricky Hatton) even though Pacquiao beat Marquez first, however it was a very close fight that could have gone either way as you said. It would definitely get a lot of attention due to the fact that Marquez gave Pacquiao hell in their 2 fights together and many people believe that he should have gotten the decisions in both fights but since it would be at a weight too high for Marquez and since he is coming off a lopsided loss, many would not be as interested in it compared to if it happened before Marquez lost to Mayweather.
Pacquiao's stock has risen since the second fight but Marqeuz's stock has fallen and we have never seen Marquez fight at junior welterweight, which is where a third Pacquiao fight would most likely take place, but we have seen Marquez fight at welterweight and he looked far too heavy and ineffective, and of course Pacquiao would not go all the way back down to lightweight where Marquez currently is since Manny is currently the cash cow of boxing and doesn't have to do anything he doesn't want to.
There is certainly a possibility that the fight will happen but only if Marquez defeats Juan Diaz in their rematch this July and only if Pacquiao doesn't fight the winner of the Mosley-Mayweather bout. They have discussed 3 backup plans for Pacquiao if he cannot fight the winner of Mosley-Mayweather; a welterweight bout with Antonio Margarito (which seems the most likely assuming he wins his comeback bout against Roberto Garcia), a third fight with Juan Manuel Marquez (assuming he wins the rematch with Juan Diaz), and Edwin Valero (which seems unlikely since he keeps getting into trouble.)
What does Pacquiao vs. Marquez III need to show to impress Mayweather fans?
pac must show he has improved his skill against counter punchers...
cuz floyd is a great counter puncher.
for marquez....i want to see him floor pac...even just a knock down...but the only way to do it is to improve more his accuracy. if he beats pac...
obviously, floyd fans will rejoice...
this group of americans doesnt want to put their last american boxing pride on a risk
Is anyone looking forward to Pacquiao vs. Marquez 3?
Yes, I'm looking forward to watching. Marquez has probably been itching for a third bout for a while now. No, I don't think it will be as competitive as the first two. Pacquiao's got more than a straight left in his arsenal now, and well...everyone's seen what he's been doing since their second fight. I'm a big Marquez fan and I think he throws the most beautiful combinations in boxing right now. I just hope he doesn't get hurt. But, yeah I'm excited to see the fight, regardless.
Where can you watch Manny Pacquiao vs marquez live in the Philippines?
SM cinemas. Try to watch for the announcement of the City of Manila because there was a time that they put a giant screen in Plaza Miranda in Quiapo and aired one of the matches of Pacquaio for free to enable the public to watch the game.
it should be the question is can marquez survive the first 2 were very close and i think marquez won the first fight but manny is just way better than he was when they met before im not going to buy it i paid for the mayweather fight it had the best undercard i have ever seen in boxing in recent memory but the main event sucked not blaming floyd even tho i cant stand him ortiz was fighting dirty im going to stream it fuck it been getting burned by boxing to much lately
