I don't think they win the BcS, nor do I think they win the SEC. But Ole Miss is going to be a contender this year for sure. I think they can play spoiler for teams like LSU and Alabama also. I think they finish second in the SEC West behind LSU.
What games will Ole Miss win next Football Season?
Please ignore jr. I see a very good Ole Miss team, so many of your fans were focused on your Offense. Ole Miss had a tremendous Defense, However Houston Nutt is an Offensive Juggernaut Recruiter only on running backs. Look for other teams they beat to return the favor this year. LSU Maybe on of them, they fineally have a Defensive Coach this will make one heck of a Difference. However I still see the Rebs going 9-3 or 10-2. Maby beat Jr,'s team HA HA.
Kacki pants or shorts, polo or button down -- go to the book store and maybe get an Ole Miss one or just wear one like a red one.. Sperrys.. Sunglasses w/ a frat strap aka croakies.. If its cold throw on a northface.. You can wear a hat too if you want.
Where can I watch every ole miss football game online for the upcoming season?
This is only half an answer:
My beloved Gators have Gator Vision which is an online subscription service that allows patrons to watch every game online. Maybe the Rebels have something similar. Check their Athletics website.
While I am not a fan of Ole Miss I hope they see success in the near future. It's good for Florida when the teams in the SEC West are strong.
Wasn't it Ole Miss that ultimately cost Ron Zook his job? I think so. He is growing to become a heck of a football coach. Between him and RichRod the Big 10 is going to become very fast, very vertical, and very fun.
May I get a "Go Gators!" from the congregation? Thank you! Praise Jeezums!
This year Ole Miss is the better team.. Their overall record is 5-3 and Tennessee's overall record is 3-5... So far they have played only one common opponent and that was Alabama.. Tennessee was annihilated by the Crimson Tide 44-13 while Ole Miss gave Alabama their closest game 33-14.. They do not play each other this year....
I'm FROM Mississippi and I still don't get this. Question regarding Ole Miss football?
Difference between Ole Miss and the University of Mississippi
"There is a valid distinction between The University and Ole Miss even though the separate threads are closely interwoven.
The University is buildings, trees and people. Ole Miss is mood, emotion and personality. One is physical, and the other is spiritual. One is tangible and the other intangible.
The University is respected, but Ole Miss is loved. The University gives a diploma and regretfully terminates tenure, but one never graduates from Ole Miss."
I believe they have a pretty good chance at a winning record and a bowl game. Remember Brett Schaeffer... the QB for the Vols two years ago... he was kicked out of Tennessee and went to junior college... and now he's transferred to Ole Miss !!! He's electrifying and fun to watch and can be dangerous if he gets enough help.
Six wins will get you to a bowl game, so with that being said here are six opponents on there schedule that the Rebels should beat... Mississippi State, Northwestern State, Vandy, Wake Forest, Kentucky, and Memphis. I just so happen to believe they will go 7-5. If they beat any other team on the schedule such as Bama, Arkansas, Georgia, Auburn or LSU it will be simply extra and considered a pretty big upset. They also play Missouri which I think they are more than capable of beating.
I like their chances, I'm a college football fan in general so I like just about everybody (Except the Miami Hurricanes). I'll be watching to see how the Rebs fair this year.
Ole Miss is always going to be at a disadvantage in the SEC West. They always have been. THey're trying to compete with LSU, Alabama, Auburn and Arkansas. Those are schools with deeper pockets that have more tradition.
Ole Miss fans need to lower their expectations a bit and root for winning seasons and decent bowl games.
Believe me, I know. I'm an A's fan and they are low budget.
Ole Miss ought to at least do as well as last year, and really should do better. Alabama is the only real threat to win the West other than Ole Miss (I don't believe LSU will be that good until I see it myself). The schedule is about as easy as it gets in the SEC. Ole Miss should win at least 10 games this year, maybe 11, and I don't think going undefeated is out of the question. Ole Miss and Florida would make a heck of an SEC championship game especially considering Ole Miss is the last team to beat Florida, and if they're as good as everyone thinks they'll be this year might have the next best opportunity to do it.
All that being said, I've watched Ole Miss long enough to know not to get my hopes up too high. They have a history of underperforming when expectations are any higher than Independence Bowl level. I think if they play as well as they should, barring a bunch of injuries like the basketball team had to deal with, they should at least end up in the Cotton Bowl again, and maybe a BCS bowl if they really play well. But knowing how Ole Miss has been the last 20 years or so, they could just as easily end up in the Liberty Bowl. If Ole Miss doesn't make a bowl this year the season would be a colossal failure, and I think anything less than the Cotton Bowl again would be a failure to some degree.
Snead might not be able to start in the Big 12, but I think Ole Miss proved their defense is more valuable than any Big 12 quarterback.
"Anyone could win the SEC"? Where do these people come from? Do they know where the national champion has come the last 3 years? I don't think more than a couple of other people who answered this question even watch college football.
