What's the difference between a Xbox 360 memory card and harddrive?
The xbox 360 memory card is a flash drive. It attaches to the 360 via an usb slot located under (or to the right of, depending on how you have your 360 posistioned) the power button. On the other hand, the harddrive (ill call it the hdd from now on) is located on the top of (or on the far left) of the 360. both devices are removable, although it is recomended not to remove the hdd since it increases its chances of being broken. furthermore, the memory card does not hold as much as the hdd. the hdd allows you to store movies, songs, pictures, game saves, and xbox live downloads. overall, the hdd is the better buy. if you purchase the memory card, you'll be disappointed with how little you can hold.
You hook it up to the telivision the same way you would to play without online (Xbox LIVE). You connect the Ethernet cable to your Xbox 360 and Wireless Router. You then should be able to connect to Xbox LIVE, but will need to purchase a Gold Subscription to play online.
If you have any other trouble with connecting, Xbox Support can assist you further.
What do i need to make my xbox 360 have wireless internet?
You need an Xbox 360 Wireless Adaptor. If you simply google xbox 360 wireless adaptor the first link should be to amazon.com and you can order one there. they simply plug into the back of your xbox and allow your xbox to pick wifi from a wireless router.
What is the difference from an xbox 360 arcade and an xbox 360 pro?
The arcade is a system without a Hard drive, it comes with a memory card instead. The core does not include either. Also the Arcade now comes with some arcade games downloaded onto the system.
The pro is a xbox 360 with wireless controller, 20GB HDD, & HD/AV Cables.
To play Original xbox games the Hard Drive is mandatory.
I tried looking up the model number you provided. I did not see the necesarry inputs for you to get true surround sound from you Xbox 360 or TV programming. All I saw were RCA and component inputs. It seems the best you can get is simulated surround sound.
What is the newest xbox 360 console generation called?
The new ones are called the Xbox 360 Slim. It's sizes are 250 gb and 4 gb. Accessories are a controller and a kinect if you pay extra. It doesnt come with an hdmi or component cable so if u have one already keep it. Also you can get a transfer cable and transfer ur old harddrives data to the new one.

What is the difference between XBOX 360 and Playstation 3?
ps3 is better
NO WAY THEYRE NOT GONNA PUT BLU RAY IN XBOX!!!!!!!!!!!!!
- ps3 has a built-in blu-ray player
- ps3 has much more and better exclusives, most of them cant go to xbox 360 because it cant handle that many data(DVD- 8.5gb, blu-ray 50gb)
- online is free for ps3 not like 360
- ps3 will have over 300 games released by this spring
- when developers get used to the system, the graphics will be WAY better than 360. should take them a year to get used to it
- playstation home is coming out this spring, its a virtual community where you can hang out with friends and customize your own apartment which xbox doesnt have(FREE)
- ps3 is a true HD console. xbox 360 upscale games to 1080p and ps3 DISPLAY games up to 1080p
- built in Wi-Fi
- xbox 360: 33% hardware failure
ps3: .2% hardware failure(see the decimal? less than 1%!)
- rumble returns in spring 2008
- you can upgrade your harddrive without voiding warranties with any 2.5 HDD, which xbox cant because you have to buy a xbox HDD
(they actually have the step by step on how to upgrade it on playstation.com)
those are the ones that i know right off my mind but there are much more reason than this
Prices as of today:
ps3- 80gb: $599
xbox 360(premium)- $399 (if you want the accessories that ps3 comes with, that would add up to over 700 dollars)
To save money, the Xbox 360 4GB Slim. its fine if you are a casual gamer, and you can always buy a bit more GB of hardrive at anytime you need.
If money isnt an problem, then defiantly go with the new Xbox 360 250GB Slim model. it was all the space you need, 2 controllers, and a wired headset.
How to connect a Xbox 360 controller to a Laptop with bluetooth?
As far as I know Xbox controllers are not Bluetooth enabled. To connect a Xbox controller to a PC you will need a special USB receiver or buy an Xbox controller with a USB connector at the end.
Here's a few links where you can get them
Hope this helps.
How long do you think the Xbox 360 and the PlayStation 3 will still be around for?
i think they will still be realising games for the ps3 and xbox 360 because one reason is the generation card they use for the system now is high in graphic quility and the only reason i say they will be is because the ggc graphicsgameingcard is just about on the same level as the ps4 and new xbox system but there is some inhancements of the new ggc update but yes they will probably be making games for the ps3 and xbox 360 still for example cod ghost will be own ps3 and xbox 360 an also the ps4 and new xbox system so will gtav so yes they will be still making games for the ps3 and xbox 360 systems
How can I get my Xbox 360 Forza 3 saved games and redeem code onto a new Xbox?
you can transfer by either putting the hard drive out of the old xbox and in to the new one unless its a slim, in that case you are going to need
◦USB Thumb Drive (8 or 16GB recommended)
◦Microsoft Xbox 360 Hard Drive Transfer Kit (Optional)
◦Computer with access to Xbox.com for License Transfer ( not sure if you'll need this its for some people)
now how to do it.
1.Insert the USB thumb drive into the old Xbox 360.
2.Navigate to “System Settings – > Memory”.
3.Choose your Hard Drive.
4.Select the files you want to transfer and copy them to the USB thumb drive.
5.Repeat this process until all your files are moved from the old Xbox to the New Xbox.
Hope that helped.
Now for the redeem code, there is no way to redeem it on another xbox, BUT you can redeem your xbox live account therefore having the redeem code on the new xbox. to do it press the xbox button ( make sure you are signed out) then go to recover gamertag and put in your credentials for the account ( email address password etc.) then it will download your account from the xbox live servers ( this does not download saved data only achievements and redeemed codes and so forth).
And once agian hope this helped :P
Yet agian hoped this helped.

Congrats! You just realized that xbox 360's have shit graphics! play the same game on ps3 then on 360 if you realize the ps3 has more detail and natural lights while 360 is more pixely and not nearly as good looking. Both with an hdmi cable
Looks like you need to buy XBox 360 receiver for Windows. I actually use a wired controller (cheaper and works just as well if not better, cuz no battery), and didn't know there was a wireless option. Unless you're bothered by "wires", I would sat go cheaper. Haha :)
Get gameplay vids of certain xbox 360 games like Halo, Assassins Creed, Gears of War and some other games and try out something like that. That or do something dumb and make some effect where the kid throws the controller and Master Chief throws it back at him.
Does a seperatly purchased Xbox 360 wireless controller come with a charger or anything?
If you buy your xbox 360, it will not come with a rechargeable cable for your controller. There is a control pack that comes with a control, rechargeable battery pack, and a 10ft cable to connect to your USB hub. I would suggest either getting that or getting a wired controllers, because the batteries do last, but it gets really frustrating when you have to replace them, one time it happened to me while playing Halo3 online.
What model of Xbox 360 has the lowest chance of getting the RRoD?
Jasper model have lowest chance of RROD. If your console is made in 2009 it should have the Jasper chip. You can find for sure by checking the back and look for 12.1a its a jasper unit. For more info you can look at http://blogs.mercurynews.com/aei/2007/10/09/xbox_360_secrets_after_falcon_comes_jasper/
If you looking to buy a console I personally recommended the ps3 which is around teh same price because of three reason: Less failure rate, free online gaming, and more exclusives comming for it
What us the difference between regular xbox 360 and xbox 360 arcade?

pick up elite or a pro or u regret it
How do i stop xbox 360 from interfering with my laptop's wifi?
I had this exact same problem lately, what I did was change the type of connection (there are a few) I forget what they are but they are in the set up of your wifi. I changed mine to something that I would get better reception, higher definition, and much faster (perfect for Xbox Live).
If all else fails, try turning the wifi off on your laptop when your playing on Xbox Live. Oh yeah, and if your Xbox 360 is plugged into your computer (because you can use your computer as a wireless adapter, you just plug it in, and connect your computer to you home network) then you should probably think about buying a wireless adapter, specifically for your Xbox, they are a little bit more money then you would think ($99, thats what I payed for mine). Then try the thing with the wifi connection.
How much is used Xbox 360 with two controllers going for?
This depends on the store or the person from which you are buying the xbox 360 but I will tell you the prices based on gamestop prices.
Gamestop doesn't sell used xbox 360s with two controllers but they do sell used ones with one controller so you can buy a used xbox 360 with a wireless controller for $149.99 and then you can buy a used controller separately for $39.99.
Note that all used wired controllers cost 10 dollars less than wireless controller so if you get the xbox 360 with the wired controller for $139.99 instead of $149.99

How do you remove the screws on a xbox 360 controller?
It's a security torx bit size T8. You can buy them on ebay for fairly cheap.
There's 7 screws that hold the controller together. You can see 6 of them and the 7th one is located beneath the sticker under the battery pack.
Open up the controller with the buttons facing down so when you open it the buttons stay in their holes.
Here's a tutorial if you need it.
Let me know if you have any other questions, the option is available on my yahoo answers profile page.
How do you transfer select data from one Xbox 360 Hard Drive to another?
There are a few ways of doing this. When you purchase a new xbox 360 hard drive it comes with a disk with file transfer software, I don't know if that is sold separately or not. Another way is to buy a memory card, transfer the data onto the memory card then install it onto your Xbox.
What are the exclusively games for Xbox 360 and games for ps3?
Off the top of my head XBOX has Halo, Dead Rising and Left 4 Dead. PS3 has Infamous, Resistance, God of War, Buzz, Demon Souls, Heavenly Sword and Killzone 2.
Here is a complete list of XBOX games (including exclusive and non exclusive games) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Xbox_360_games
And here is the list of PS3 games (including exclusive and non exclusive games)
How much money will i get if i sell an Xbox 360 60GB Pro and two wireless controllers to gamestop?
I think the 60 gig hard drive might be 15 to 20 dollars the 120 gig i know is 30 dollars if you want cash it will be 20 percent less so instead of 70 for the xbox 360 it will be around 56 dollars.
make sure you have a valid state issued ID.
What is the difference between the different Xbox 360 models?
Well you are right, there are alot of different models
the original xbox
arcade xbox 360
the normal white 60GB xbox 360
and the xbox elite
the original xbox is very old so, its pretty much out of the picture
the arcade xbox, a few friends tell me its not worth it compared to the xbox 360. the arcade one you dont get as much in the bundle when you buy it and only has 20 GB
the xbox 360 has 60GB , comes with everything you need for xbox live, and one month free of live
the xbox elite is the same, in exception for it has i believe 260 GB, but really i doubt your husband would play that much.
Go to future shop, they usually have a great deal on the white xbox 360 for about 299.99 with 2 good games included in it. No one would be able to max out the 60 GB by themselves.
What's the difference between the Xbox 360 models?
core= the worst xbox 360 system stay well away from that one it has no hard drive and is likely to crash. this one is all white with chrome trim
arcade= is the same as the the core but with more arcade games. stay away from this one as well. likely to crash!
pro/premium=a better console. comes with a 20gig HD hard drive, compatible with xbox live, comes with some arcade games trials(you have to buy microsoft points to unlock full version)and some game demos. this one is all white with chrome trim. comes with 1 white, wireless controler and a headset, cables to conect to the tv, cables to plug into the outlet so you can play. price: $349.99. (recommended)
elite= this one comes with a 120gig HD hard drive. same thing as the pro/premium but i have heard its not very compatible with xbox live so if you are just a gamer and not wanting to go on xbox live and are wanting to buy and play alot of games than this is for you. this is all black with green trim. comes with 1 black wireless controller and a headset, cables to conect to the tv, cables to plug into to the outlet so you can play. price: $449.99
halo 3 limited edition(i have this one)= comes with 20gig HD hard drive, a code for special gamer pictures and wallpaper, is compatible with live, comes with like 18 arcade and game demos(you can purchase more with microsoft points) some videos(not movies just game previews). this one is Spartan green with gold trim and has halo 3 designs on the sides and faceplate.comes with a spartan green controller and headset, cables to conect to the tv, cables to plug into the outlet so you can play. price: $349.99. (recommened if you can find it still)
i would recommend the xbox 360 pro/premium and hte xbox 360 halo 3 special edition. they are very good systems. just make sure that you keep it in a location where there is good air flow, minimal dust, and dont play it for 8 hours or more straight. then you will just overheat it and have to send it in.
sorrry i know its long.
How do I connect my Xbox 360 to my wireless internet connection 10pts?
They sell a Wireless Adaptor So your xbox 360 can pick up your internet wirelessly, or use an Ethernet Cable which if you still have your box for your 360 its the cable that looks like a phone line only wider..

What would be the best xbox 360 magazine to subscribe to?
I think the best game magazine is Game Informer. Even though it is not exclusive to Xbox 360, it gives great coverage on all gaming and, primarily, the 360 and PS3. They also inject a lot of humor into their articles. I often value their game ratings more than any other.
How do I connect my Xbox 360 or computer monitor to speakers?
I believe there's a special audio adapter you have to buy for that.
Assuming you are using Xbox HDMI out and DVI IN on the monitor.
Can anyone tell me the difference between the xbox 360 pro console and the xbox 360 elite console?
There's no difference in performance between the Xbox 360 Premium/Pro and the Elite console.
The 360 Premium/Pro includes a detachable 60 GB Hard Disk Drive (HDD) to store downloaded content, provide compatibility with original Xbox games, and store game data. The Xbox 360 Elite is the most expensive variation of the console. It includes a 120 GB Hard Disk Drive and a matte black finish. Additionally, the colour of the controller and headset is different.
Is it possible to use 2 Xbox 360 consoles through a router to log onto Xbox live?
In terms of using a router, this is absolutely possible. Make SURE that you are using a router indeed though. Routers and switches physically can look almost identical but the underlying layers in the operations that each perform are much different. A router should be transparent to your ISP and if you have NAT (Network Address Translation) turned on, it should issue 192.168.x.x IP addresses to your Xbox 360. Now if you have NAT turned off, both Xbox 360s will attempt to go to your ISP and register an IP address over the one connection. This will deny one or the other of a connection unless your ISP has issued you more than one IP address which usually costs about 5 dollars extra a month. If you really have a router, double check to make sure NAT is turned - along with DHCP on and then setup your Xbox 360s to automatically obtain an IP address from your router. Usually the routers should be configured to do this out of the box like linksys or netgear. Also double check your cables to make sure that you have your internet connection from your modem to the router plugged into the WAN port and that the Xbox 360s are on one of the LAN or Local Area Network ports. I currently have 2 Xbox 360s, 2 PCs and a laptop connected to the internet simultaneously through my router with no problems. Just think of your router as a splitter. Make sure that on the Xbox 360 that you are failing at the DNS level that the setting for your DNS server are identical to that of the console that is able to connect. Good luck and I hope this helps!
What is the difference between xbox 360 arcade and pro?
The xbox 360 pro bundle comes with...
20 GB Hard drive
HD AV cable
Ethernet network cable
Wired XBOX Live headset
XBOX Live Silver service
Its $350.00 mostly because of the hard drive.
The xbox arcade comes with a 360, wired controller, the standard cables,
Microsoft Xbox 360 Arcade includes the following 5 free arcade games on an in package disc:
Boom Boom Rocket
Pac-Man Championship Edition
What is the different between the Xbox 360 and the Xbox 360 arcade?
1) Xbox 360 is a new generation console that differs from the old black cube-like 'xbox'.
2) Xbox has had many SKUs or Stock-Keeping-Unit.. which has basically different Xboxs with variations in their hardware... It's generally results from the arrival of the chipsets that is built in. Newer chipsets get smaller and run cooler. It can also done to create an different packages according to affordable prices. Example, when you go to the store you can choose a package according to how much you can afford to pay.. it could be an Xbox with 20GB harddrive, Xbox with 60GB hdd, Xbox with 120Gb and a headphone and two controllers.. or so on. In a way you could consider the new Xbox Slim as a newer SKU too. But SKUs are important because you not only you can go choose which you can afford.. but also considers the chipset and go with the better one. The tricky part is that SKUs are only presented in terms of differing attachments or accessories. It won't tell you on the box which chipset in inside the xbox.
3) There were Pro, Core and Arcade version. Then Pro and Core got discontinued. Arcade got updated with a chipset called Jasper, which is smaller, consumes less power, and runs little cooler, and most importantly has almost resolved the infamous red ring of death issue or hardware failure from overheating. Then came Elite which is basically an Arcade with same Jasper chipset, and bigger much harddrive, and better bundled accessories.
4) Do not buy Pro and Core or (and old Arcade version).. they might be cheaper.. but they are not only discontinued, but also prone to red ring of deaths or hardware failure.
5) So now there is updated Arcade and Elite (with Jasper Chipset) and the New Xbox Slim (with Valhalla chipset, which runs even cooler).
6) With arrival of new Xbox Slim, Arcade and Elite prices have gone down. I would recommend New Xbox Slim because it comes with 250Gb and built in harddrive. runs quieter and cooler. and there are some good accessory bundle offers. plus it is Kinect-ready. And of'course it looks amazing with shiny black piano finish.
7) However, if you cannot afford Xbox Slim, go for Arcade or Elite. Make sure they have jasper chipset in it. They generally come with a three year warranty. insist on it. go to different stores. or if you could pay few bucks are get a three year warranty go for it. But mostly with Jasper xboxs you will be safe.. but get the warranty anyways.
SO HOW DO YOU TELL A JASPER CHIPSET?
Certainly not from the box and outward appearance.
You can take your seller's word for it or
Take a sneak peak at the bottom of the Power Brick inside the box.
or the the backside of the Xbox itself.
it should read Output DC =150W
8) I would recommend Elite, because with Arcade you won't get a harddrive, which you will eventually have t buy separately anyways. And New xbox Slim because it has built in wifi adapter, which in case of both Elite or Arcade.. you'll have to buy is separately for US$99 if you want to access Xbox Live service... So get if can't afford Slim, then get the Xbox Elite with jasper chipset. Prices have gone down. You'll get bundled offers.. might come with headphones, and so on..
OTHER TIPS XBOX OWNERS CAN USE:
I recommend you always install the games you will play most onto the hard drive; not only the xbox runs quieter, but you will also increase the life of your disc by preventing the scratches as the game will run from the hdd.
One important point is not to move the xbox or dangle it in the air when the disc is spinning inside. There is a sticker on the disc tray 'Do not move when disc n tray'. But some stupid people can't read the sticker in front of their eyes and dangle the xbox in the air, which will damage the disc. I don't see any reason why would anyone be dumb enough do that, unless they're dumb haha.
Also keep the xbox horizontal as... the vertical in the advertisements is vertical mainly for aesthetic reasons..otherwise microsoft recommends it horizontal. It avoids being knocked down by mistake by kids or anyone.. And reduces the chances of disk scratches cause if you think about it.. horizontal way is natural way to keep it. Plus I there is a ventilation on the ride side, which can get faced down and blocked when you stand it vertically. which i imagine would block ventilation and cause heat increase and rrod. So I'd recommend keeping it in a clutter-free environment. In a free space, not in a cabinet where ventilation is less. And on a hard surface.
As long as you take care of it, you'll be a happy gamer;)
