What are your thoughts on my first round mock draft?
Your mock draft looks decent. I don’t have Johnny Manziel going #1 overall though. Mainly because he will be a Run-Option QB in the NFL and Huston is not a Run-Option team. I actually had Carr going #1, because Huston NEEDS a pocket QB. Their only other option is to trade down to #5, but who knows what Jax or Cleveland will do…
1. I agree with this pick. I see the Houston Texans going 8-8 next season, but not yet good enough for a playoff berth.
2. Although I am an Eagles fan, the realistic side of me thinks this is a good pick. I think the Eagles will take a step back in 2014, as it will be tough to match the 10-6 regular season record, or repeat as NFC East division champions. I see the Eagles finishing about 8-8 next season.
3. Bradford is a very good pick, but I will go with Robert Griffin III here.
4. Actually, it depends on his work ethic during this offseason. If Tim Tebow rededicates himself to work hard and perform very well in practice every day, he will greatly improve his chances of getting signed to play for an NFL team next season.
5. I will go with Blake Bortles.
NFL DRAFT: Manziel to be 1ST to Ticker Tape-Draft extravaganza?
I doubt that the Houston Texans make Manziel the #1 overall selection. I think that honor will go to DE Jadeveon Clowney from the University of South Carolina.
As for the "Johnny football" related hype, that's all it is -- just talk.
The most interesting move will be what the St. Louis Rams will do at #2 overall if Clowney goes to Houston. St. Louis has a QB already (Sam Bradford), so they may trade their pick to another team that wants Manziel, or possibly another top-rated QB like Blake Bortles of Central Florida or Teddy Bridgewater of Louisville.
What's interesting is that the Rams held this same slot in the 2012 Draft, and traded the #2 pick to Washington, who selected QB Robert Griffin III. Washington gave St. Louis the #6 overall pick in that draft, plus their first pick in 2013 and their first pick in 2014 as well.
What is ironic for St. Louis is that the #2 overall pick they currently hold is that final piece of the trade with Washington two years ago...so the Rams have come full circle. And again they're dangling the second overall pick to teams that are in need of a franchise QB. One wonders after seeing what Washington has to show for their move up for Griffin two years ago, will the Rams get as sweet a deal again for the #2 pick?
#3 pick is Jacksonville, and I can see them taking Bortles or Manziel if they are there. I think Cleveland will take whatever QB is there at #4 overall, and I predict Clemson WR Sammy Watkins goes to Oakland fifth overall.
If Manziel were to drop into the 20's overall of the first round, I wouldn't be surprised at all. His cockiness and off-field immaturity are red flags for a top-ten pick in my opinion.
His athletic elusiveness plays well in college football, but might not in the NFL. He's just 6' 0" and that's small for an NFL quarterbacl. I know, I know, Drew Brees and Russell Wilson are that size -- but both those guys weren't even first round picks. It's a risky play as a GM drafting a young guy that size in the first round. If it doesn't work out, it's the kind o move that gets you fired.
The draft should be exciting, can't wait to see what happens with the Rams' pick second overall...
In your opinion who will the first 5 five picks in the NFL Draft be?
1. QB Johnny Manziel (Houston Texans)
2 OT Greg Robinson (St. Louis rams)
3. QB Teddy Bridgewater (Jacksonville Jaguars)
4 QB Blake Bortles (Cleveland Browns)
5 DE Jadevon Clowney (Oakland raiders)
6. OT jake Matthews (falcons)
7 OLB Anthony Barr (Buccaneers)
8 QB Derek Carr (Vikings)
9 ILB CJ Mosley (Bills)
10. WR Sammy Watkins (Lions)
11 OLB Ryan Shaizer (Titans)
12. DE Kony Ealy (Giants)
13 FS Hasean Clinton-Dix (Rams)
14 DT Louis Nix III (Bears)
15 CB Darqueze Dennard (Steelers)
16 WR Mike Evans (ravens)
17.CB Justin Gilbert (Cowboys)
18. WR Marquise Lee (Jets)
19. Taylor Lewan (dolphins)
20 OT Cyrus Kouandigo (cardinals)
21 CB Bradley Roby (Packers)
22 Calvin Pryor (Eagles)
23. TE Eric Eborn (Cheifs)
24 CB Jason Verrett (Bengals)
25 OT Zack Martin (chargers)
26 Allen Robinson (Browns)
27 FS Ed Reynolds (Saints)
28 WR Odelle Beckham Jr. (panthers)
29. TE Austin Serfrain-Jenkins (patriots)
30 OLB Kyle Van Noy (49ers)
31. CB Kyle Fuller (Broncos)
32. OT Antonio Richardson (Seattle)
You said only 5 but I just did it all lol
Im 15, 5'7" and have a 13 shoe size, long arms and oversized hands. Will i hit 6'3"?
The 6'0" Johnny Manziel has size 15 feet and hands that measured at 33 and 1/4" (bigger than 6'5" Blake Bortles' hands).
You're definitely not done growing at 5'7", but it's not a guarantee that you'll hit 6'3".

Who do you Think should be the First overall Pick in this year NFL Draft?
Let me break this down (im the NO.1 Texans expert)
Ok so Matt Schaub is a very good QB he just had a bad year but Bob does not want Matt in Houston even if O'Brien wanted Matt.
Bridgewater is not going to be it because hes not a top 5 player in the draft.
Manziel will not be coming to Houston either he is not the O'Brien style of QB and the Texans organization does not like his work ethic and all that off the field issues with Mr.Football.
Clowney. although the Texans were the worst team in taking the ball away and getting sacks the Texans will not get Clowney because Rick Smith is too smart he is thinking about the future of this franchise he just wont simply spend all the cap space on two DEs (Watt and Clowney) plus Clowney was a one year wonder.
Blake Bortles. He is the pick. He fits the ideal O'Brien QB he has all the characteristics O'Brien likes in a QB Bortles is the safest pick in the draft he is someone the Texans know wont have off field issues work ethic issues.
If the Houston Texans keep the #1 overall pick for the 2014 NFL Draft, and decide to go with a quarterback, I think Blake Bortles will be the pick.
Johnny Manziel will be the 2nd quarterback taken in the draft, and will be taken either by Jacksonville with the #3 overall pick, or by Cleveland with the #4 overall pick.
Will the Texans be back in the playoffs next year?
No, I do not see the Houston Texans making the playoffs next season. However, I think that the Texans will make a marked improvement, and finish with an 8-8 record in 2014.
However, with Bill O'Brien hired as the new head coach for the Houston Texans, I think that Blake Bortles will be the #1 overall pick, if the Texans decide that quarterback is the way to go. Bortles fits O'Brien's system better than Teddy Bridgewater and Johnny Manziel.
Who might the Texans select with the first overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft?
If the Houston Texans decide to keep the #1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, and decide that quarterback is the way to go, then Blake Bortles is going to be the pick. Bortles makes a much better fit in Bill O'Brien's system than either Johnny Manziel or Teddy Bridgewater.
If not Bortles, then the Texans will either take Jadeveon Clowney, or trade down the pick.

What NFL QBs can you compare these College QBs to?
Teddy Bridgewater. A faster Alex Smith
Blake Bortles. Blaine Gabbert.
Johnny Manziel. A better Russell Wilson
Derek Carr. David Carr
Tahj Boyd. RG3
Zach Mettenberger. Ben Roethlisberger
AJ McCarron. Andy Dalton
Aaron Murray. Matt Ryan
If Houston is serious about upgrading the QB position then Bortles would be a far smarter choice than the jug-eared f@ggot that played for A&M.
Unfortunately, there is pressure within the community for Houston to draft Boy-ziel and the sockcucker has added fuel to this fire by openly lobbying for being the top pick.
If Houston decides to draft Johnny F@gball over a real quarterback they'll become the joke of the NFL, much like Oakland and Jamarcus Russell.
Blake Bortles is obviously a lot quicker and more physical than McCarron which allows him to run more frequently. Also, another things to consider is that Bortles is a couple of inches taller and weighs over 20 pounds more (235-215lbs) than McCarron.
Bortles accuracy is a concern of yours? LOL! 64.5% in the Fiesta Bowl is a concern of yours? How about his 67.8% for the season, 2nd in DI FBS, and 9.4 YD/ATT, 1st? LMAO!
